Evangeline Parish School District

Based on reports from all campus principals, all Evangeline Parish schools and offices will be open on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing by mid-morning, and all school buildings are ready for students. Water, electricity, heating systems, and transportation services are fully operational, and buses will be warmed before student pickup.

To limit exposure to cold temperatures, families are encouraged to remain in vehicles while waiting for buses when possible. Students will go directly indoors upon arrival, and no outdoor activities will be held while temperatures remain below freezing.

Students and employees may wear jeans this week. Dressing in layers is recommended, and coats, uniform sweatshirts, knit caps, and gloves are permitted.
